The customer is a leader in the field of Electromagnetic Single Disc Clutches/ Brakes and Spur-Helical Gears, manufacturing division for the last 30 years.

Current Setup:

In the current set up, tracking the process multiple shifts was becoming a challenging task for the customer.

The customer reached out to Thingstel, to enable digitization and automation to their current set up and to have a cost efficient IoT solution to monitor the machines and log production information.

The customer was also keen to schedule jobs on multiple machines and plan fulfilment.

Thingstel proposed a solution to deploy a gateway device to check the lamps indicator to infer status of the machine. We also Installed a button to trigger job completion at the machine to log production values.

The solution comprised of setup of Thingstel platform for frontend visualization of real-time data. The historical data was made available through reports.

Client saw quick advantage in having the option to screen the interaction across shifts and to get to usefulness continuously utilizing standard reports.

Client began utilizing the work scheduler to get ready for occupations ahead of time for administrators to execute assessing a saving of $4,000 per machine each year.
